Toronto Islands Seminar

Join us for an evening on Toronto's wonderful Island park system with a focus on one of Toronto's most famous "haunts" and the only one we know of that lists its ghost on a historic plaque! The possible ghost of the lighthouse keeper is NOT the only thing we have to share, however... and there's information on this site and it's possible ghosts we wish to share on this seminar before sharing it on our websites!

We will be covering still picture, audio, and video recording captures and data collection as well as environmental readings.

With this seminar, you will also receive a booklet outlining Matthew and Sue's notes on...
  • The History of Reports About This Site
  • A Brief History of the Site
  • A Manual on Still Picture Collection
  • A Manual on Audio Recording Collection
  • A Manual on Video Recording Collection
  • A Manual on Psychical/Sensitive Data
The entire event is outdoors and the terrain to be covered is reasonably safe without dangers for most people.

PLEASE dress for the weather.

Equipment is NOT given or loaned on this seminar. It is up to the participant to bring any cameras, audio recording equipment, flashlights, any equipment they may wish (within reason... if unsure, please contact us at smseminar@psican.org to ask) to bring.

Again, we reserve the right to eject or ask to leave any person(s) who are not abiding by the rules of the seminar or generally causing a disturbance to other seminar attendees without refund of fees.

DATE OF SEMINAR: July 8th, 2006
RAIN DATE: July 9th, 2006

Fees... $15.00 per person with a $5 deposit payable within five days of the event (non-refundable with the exception of rain cancellation on both days) and the balance of $10.00 per person at the event. If paying by PayPal, you will need to pay the full $15.00 per person up front. Details will be mailed to you upon clicking on the form linked below. (Participants will also have to cover their own transportation fees to and from the Islands.)

FOR SECURITY AND OTHER CONCERNS, THIS SEMINAR IS LIMITED TO NO MORE THAN 20 (TWENTY) PARTICIPANTS. All participants must be 18 years of age or older unless accompanied by a legal guardian. NO ONE UNDER THE AGE OF 13 ALLOWED AT THESE EVENTS.

There are NO guarantees of "experiencing" paranormal phenomena on this event.

There are no refunds after full payment has been accepted.

YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN LOST OR BROKEN EQUIPMENT.

Sue St.Clair and Matthew Didier are not responsible for personal safety and security of the participants. You are responsible for your own health and welfare.

For legal and security reasons, this event MUST disperse and end no later than 10pm.

We will be starting at 8pm sharp. Please do not be late. There are no refunds for tardiness.

THIS IS NOT A "DARK RIDE" OR OTHERWISE "DRAMATIC/THEATRICAL" TOUR. There will be no people hiding in bushes ready to jump out and yell "Boo!" nor will Matthew or Sue be "dressed" in costume leading a "ghost tour". This is a WORKING seminar that incorporates the ghost reports with a learning seminar on safely and scientifically (as possible) collecting data at a reportedly haunted location. This is not to say that "ghost tours" or "dark rides" are not fun and useful, just that these events are not like these other options and we wish to avoid dissapointing fans of these types of programs.

The first hour will be a group seminar, the second will be active data collection with help from Matthew and Sue.

If you understand the above and have read through and understand this event, please click here and fill out the form to sign up for this (and other) events.
