Four non-governmental organizations have launched a joint initiative to urge the implementation of an historic UN General Assembly Decision concerning extraterrestrial life and UFOs, adopted on December 18, 1978. This year marks the 30th anniversary of UN General Assembly Decision 33/426 that invited: “Member States to take appropriate steps to coordinate on a national level scientific research and investigation into extraterrestrial life, including unidentified flying objects.” The Decision further invited Member States to “inform the Secretary-General of the observations, research and evaluation of such activities.”
The four NGOs have sent letters to the governments of France, the United Kingdom, Mexico and Brazil requesting each to forward to the UN Secretary General details of documents concerning UFOs each country has publicly released in the last several years. A letter will be been sent to UN Secretary General Ban reminding him of the upcoming 30th anniversary of General Assembly Decision 33/426 and requesting a meeting to discuss its implementation; and informing him of recent observations, research and evaluation concerning extraterrestrial life and UFOs.
The main goal of the joint NGO initiative is to have the UN Secretary General take steps to implement General Assembly Decision 33/426.

Why is it do you think that time pieces often play a role in both fictional, and actual reports of ghostly encounters? Is it that clocks in general whether they be the grand, and classic grandfather clock, or a modern day wall clock, or even a simple watch are symbolic of something much greater that truly captures our imaginations, or is it that time itself is important in the mechanism of these events? Perhaps both? Read on......

My mother owns a lovely grandfather clock, and when I visit her I often think of a report that I investigated involving one of these beauties. In that case it involved a young woman who inherited a stunning grandfather clock from her mother. Her mother had sadly passed on after a brief illness that had seen her confined to her living room on a day in the same room as this magnificent clock that had been passed down to her from her own Mom. The clock had apparently stopped working some years before, but oddly enough began working again on the day this young woman's mother passed on.... over 10 km away in hospital! The young woman who did not recall it working ever was shocked when she, and another family member entered her mother's living room to see, and hear the old clock ticking, and its pendulum swinging! They took this to be a sign that their Mom was now with her own mother, and at peace. I thought it was a lovely affirmation that life does go on.....
Clocks certainly can capture the very essence of our study...and I too hope to have a classic looking clock such as the one pictured above in my future study room. ![]()
That particular clock is not an antique by the way. It is actually a beautiful new clock from 1-800-4clocks.com, which offers stunning clocks such as the one above at terrific prices. If you are interested in acquiring a beautiful time treasure (Mother's Day is around the corner) you should have a look at what they are offering. I was pleasantly surprised when I checked on the price of the one in the photo above.
This company also accepts PayPal, which made my day as it is my preferred method of payment for all of my online purchases.
So what are your thoughts? Do you have a story to share involving clocks?
