Do you believe in Angels? Specifically do you believe in Guardian Angels or spirits that exist to guide, and help us in our hours of need? I find reports of these spirits (which have been around for centuries, and in virtually all cultures) to be fascinating. Here is a report recounting just such an encounter.

"When I was eight years old, I saw my guardian angel. I still remember what he looks like and what he said to me. He was a very tall man with red hair and a red beard and moustache. He had what I would say to be wings; they were illuminated (like looking at oil in water). I remember that I was feeling scared when I went to bed. I said my prayers and tried to go to sleep. My bedroom was dark, then suddenly it lit up brighter than day, but it wasn't the kind of light that hurt my eyes. I remember asking who he was. He said, "Do not be afraid, for I will always be with you." By this time I was really freaked out. So he once again said, "Do not be afraid, for I will always be with you." It was just moments later that I felt a real peace. He then proceeded to tell me that I will go through some really hard times in my life, but to always remember that he will be right there helping me through these hard times. That was 16 years ago, and I still remember it like it happened last night. I have been through some real struggles in my life. But the one thing that I know that he was talking about is happening right now. I am a single mom, and my son, who will be three in May, has cerebral palsy with extensive brain damage. Anyone who has - or has had to love and take care of a severely disabled person - knows how hard it is mentally and physically. I thank the Lord everyday for my son. He is my little angel sent from Heaven. I am a born-again Christian and I now know that the Lord sent my guardian angel all those years ago to let me know that he will never abandon me."

I find stories such as these quite heart-warming especially at this time of the year.
