Wordless Wednesday - "Bela Lugosi"

Of all the actors who have ever played "romantic vampires" Bela Lugosi will always remain my favourite. Bela set the tone for the vampire in pop culture, and while imitated often no one has ever come close in my humble opinion to portraying Dracula the way he did.

Happy Wordless Wednesday - Tuesday Edition, and thank you for stopping by!

He set the standard. I loved Martin Landau's portrayal of Lugosi in Ed Wod Jr. Happy WW/WT

I think you're right. The shape of his mouth makes the perfect vampire.

as much as I loved bela as dracula...my favorite has always been frank langella...when he was leaning up against the fireplace and crooked his finger to show the power of suggestion and the woman started toward him...i was half way down the aisle of the theater to get to him...only thing that stopped me was the old lady with a cane who was going after him too...sigh*
