Wordless Wednesday - The Ghosts Of Motley Hall

I wonder if any of our readers will remember this fun children's classic from the 1970's? The show was called The Ghosts Of Motley Hall.

Here is another cast photo:

If you were a fan back then or know someone who might have been a DVD of the series is available through Amazon.com.

YouTube has a clip from the old series, and I blog a bit about it here including the vid clip or just scroll down a bit. It's worth watching! :D

Happy Wordless Wednesday, and thank you for stopping by!

This is wild! It gets me thinking...there were lots of programs in the 70s about the supernatural or paranormal--from Nanny and the Professor to Bewitched and so on. I wonder why. Any thoughts?

Happy WW!

I always seem to be drawn to your site on Wednesdays...well actually it just seems to be my least busy day and the day I finally get to read my favorite blogs.

I don't remember watching the show myself but I'm fairly certain my older sister watched either this or something very simmilar.

Grew up with this show - I was about 9 when it aired. Just the kind of thing that appeals to pre-adolescents. Not too scary, but enough to get the imagination going. Harmless fun. Flaming hard to find on dvd though for region one. Wanted to get a copy for my kids. There was another series based on "The Owl Service" - which was good (but a little more sinister - does anyone remember that???
