Ghost Cats: Human Encounters with Feline Spirits

Over the years we have contributed to numerous books, but I have to admit that helping out author Dusty Rainbolt with her book Ghost Cats: Human Encounters with Feline Spirits was a lot of fun! This book provides some spooky chills, but speaks more to the tremendous bond between felines, and humans. Here is a snippet:

People who have spent a lifetime observing and interacting with cats will say that these amazing animals seem to possess powers - supernatural, psychic, or otherwise - that we can only begin to comprehend. But are they able to return from the grave as well?In Ghost Cats, the strangely heartwarming tales of cats who have refused to let death part them from their human companions are recounted in vivid and captivating detail. From the chilling "Demon Cat of the Nation's Capitol" to the delightful "Phantom Litter Box" to the touching "Poor Puss" of Stonehenge, there's a plethora of phantasms here for everyone. And what if you receive bedtime visitations from your very own dearly departed kitty? Author Dusty friend explains all the signs of a haunting and offers reasons why your freind has come back.A thrilling read for the cat and ghost lovers among us, and a consolation for those who have lost a beloved pet, this collection of stories confirms that these wonderful, whiskered creatures capture our imagination as much as they do our hearts, long after they have purred their last.

I really enjoyed this one, and do recommend it to our readers that are interested in animal hauntings ... :)

THAT looks VERY interesting! I am wiggling in my seat because I have seen a ghost cat, and so has my husband.

When my cat, Buster, died, I was devastated. We had only just moved into this home (the land here itself is also 'haunted', but that's another story). My cat was killed crossing the road, and we buried him out back. Several times during the two weeks after his passing both my husband and I saw him wandering about in the house. I was grieving him still when we got our new cats, and the new cats seemed to have sensed him as well. The creepiest experience was when my husband saw him quite clearly as a reflection in the kitchen, turned around to look at him only to remember 'Oh yeah, he died'.

That looks like a fascinating book, I'm going to have to put it on my list of books to get. Which is rapidly getting longer and somehow everytime you post about a book it gets *even* longer.

Guess that just goes to show what great taste ya'll have here! :)

Looks like an interesting read! One of the clearest "sightings" I've ever had was a cat, actually. No idea who's cat, but a cat nonetheless.

My fiancee used to have a very haunted apartment in an old, old building. Many strange things happened there, but the clearest "thing" I ever saw there was a cat that, twice, ran directly under my feet, causing me to trip myself even though there wasn't any thing of actual substance there!

Both times, as soon as I tripped myself, it disappeared within a couple of steps.

When I was in grade school we had a cat named Sammy who died... A couple of months later, I was sleeping on the couch (not sure why but I've done that before when there's been a lot of spirit activity in the house), and I felt something in the room, so I turned around and looked. I have poor vision, but I thought I could see Sammy... except he was misty and partially transparent. I didn't want to believe my eyes so I reached out and swiped the air. The kitty moved back and I rolled back over thinking "Nah it can't be", and literally, seconds later my mom announced from her bedroom "the ghost kitty is here!" because she felt sammy jump up onto her bed and heard him start to purr!

I freaked out of course. :O
