Wordless Wednesday - Girl In The Doorway

A strange figure stands at the doorway of the burning Wem Town Hall. (Photo: Tony O’Rahilly / Fortean Photo Archives)

Last week our Weird Wednesday feature was an examination of the photo above. You can read that entry "In the doorway of a burning building" by clicking on the link provided.

Here is a close up of the figure:

The photo, and it's circumstances are certainly intriguing! There has been different explanations including that the figure above is nothing more than smoke, and debris. In my opinion the figure is a young girl, but why she appeared in the photo, and why no one saw her who knows?

Dr. Vernon Harrison, a former president of the Royal Photographic Society said in regards, “The negative is a straight forward piece of black-and-white work and shows no sign of having been tampered with."

Happy Wordless Wednesday, and thank you for stopping by!

Oooh, that's interesting. Most of the old ones are usually such obvious fakes.

WOOH... Creepy!

Now remember that little boy figure in the movie "3 gentlemen and a baby"?

It was a boy, and all sorts of speculations were made... One of them was the ghost of a young who was murdered in that appartment where they were making the movie...

They finally figured out that it was in fact a cardboard figure that was stored on the balcony by mistake...

Happy WW!
