Wordless Wednesday - Amityville House
The most famous "haunted" house in American history. Some still believe, others like myself are highly sceptical. However, because of it's infamy, and influence on American pop-culture in the horror genre I am including it here today in honour of our US readers. Happy Independence Day! We wish you a very happy, & safe Fourth of July!

Is this the same house as was in Amityville Horror? Great pic. 
Bridget -> Yes, it is the very same one. Only today they have altered it so it is not so recognizable. I have seen photos of what it now looks like, but chose this image as it is most easily recognized. 
Of course a quick visit to snopes.com helps prove the entire thing completly wrong. But can't knock a picture as cool as that... :)

Ooh I watched the movie. I think it is such a beautiful house.

This movie was maybe the first that and only horror that really scared me. 
I grew up in a house that had similar architecture and boy did I catch some grief for it! 
I've seen the movie. I was afraid to watch it at night so I made sure I would see it during the day. LOL!Happy WW!

I've always been too scared to see the Amityville Horror movie or read the book! The reason it is so scary to me is because its supposed to be TRUE!!!!!
