    Wordless Wednesday - Amityville House

The most famous "haunted" house in American history. Some still believe, others like myself are highly sceptical. However, because of it's infamy, and influence on American pop-culture in the horror genre I am including it here today in honour of our US readers. Happy Independence Day! We wish you a very happy, & safe Fourth of July!

Happy Wordless Wednesday, and thank you for stopping by!

SueBridget -> Yes, it is the very same one. Only today they have altered it so it is not so recognizable. I have seen photos of what it now looks like, but chose this image as it is most easily recognized.

freelancecynicOf course a quick visit to snopes.com helps prove the entire thing completly wrong.

But can't knock a picture as cool as that... :)

AngelNickiI've always been too scared to see the Amityville Horror movie or read the book! The reason it is so scary to me is because its supposed to be TRUE!!!!!

Douglas CooteyI've been to the original house. Its not nearly as creepy as Hollywood made it out to be. I remember being disappointed. It's been years since I saw it. Thanks for posting. Happy 4th.
