I spent some time earlier today visiting the Cliffside Malibu website, and thought I would share some of my thoughts on it with you our readers.

Firstly, I was left with the impression that amongst Drug Rehabs, and other similar facilities Cliffside Malibu is taking an innovative approach to helping people overcome substance abuse problems. They may in fact be a very good alternative for people who are chemically addicted, and have sought help with other types of treatment that have failed in the past.

They take an approach based on treating the whole person, and not just the addiction itself, through nutrition, total detoxification, supportive, and nurturing counselling of individuals, which they term a "social education model." The goal of course is to help people achieve lasting sobriety through this life model, and attain the best quality of life. They do this without the use of further drugs.

Cliffside Malibu provides its clients with as comfortable a setting as possible in order to make the experience as pleasant as possible under the circumstances. The facility is beautiful, and definitely indicative of a calming environment.
