Weirdos Unite!

I have been tagged by Andrea for this meme.

First, the rules: Each player of this game starts with the "6 Weird Things about You." People who get tagged need to write a blog entry of their own 6 weird things as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names. Don't forget to leave a comment that says 'you are tagged' in their comments and tell them to read your blog!

6 Weird Things About Me:

1. A few years ago I went on a fudge odyssey. The purpose being to find the most perfect maple walnut fudge in all of Canada. In the process I sampled as many different versions of maple fudge that I could find, including an attempt at making my own. Sure I gained thirty pounds whilst on this grand and most yummy adventure, but I can tell you it was WORTH IT! And yes, I did lose the excess weight. I can also now tell you without a doubt that the greatest maple walnut fudge in all of the Americas is made by Maple Leaf Fudge in Niagara on The Lake.

2. I collect skeletons (and no, not the ones hidden in your closets).

Meet Skelly! He is just one of several. Doesn't he look festive and ready for the season? ... :) Skelly is actually a little over 5ft tall and stands beside my cluttered desk along with various skulls, bones etc. And yes, I play dress-up with some of them. In the summer Skelly has a baseball theme.

3. I wish to be married either in the middle of a crop circle in the English countryside, a haunted chapel, or in Las Vegas whilst wearing a clown suit.

4. I DO NOT want to be famous. The idea of being photographed or having to sign autographs is just not my thing. I do however, wish to be successful in all that I do. Perhaps you agree with me on shunning fame, but I can tell you I've met many people who believe that seeing themselves for even a second on the TV would be the biggest thrill of their lives. Blech!

5. I LOVE a good jaunty hat! I often wear my hats publicly for no specific reason other than they amuse me. I do realise that most might find wearing a large pointy wizard's hat complete with silver stars on any other day except Halloween a tad weird, but life is too short to be bothered by what others think, and I often receive very nice compliments. ... :)

6.) My idea of the perfect evening would be spent at a notoriously haunted castle, complete with chain rattling spectres in full view, whilst outside a great mothership lands in the gardens.

I am tagging Matthew, Nicola, Nancy, Lynn, Faith, and Tricia

I agree. You should be able to wear whatever you want whenever you want. I think people waste too much time worrying about what others think of them.

I'm not too into being famous either. That's not why I became a writer. I don't mind being photographed or signing autographs but having people always invading my privacy just because they think they can. Yeah, I can do without that.

Thanks for participating!

Not sure if I will ever do the marriage thing again. I would love to do the crop circle thing, or maybe Castlerigg or Avebury - more a handfasting than a wedding.

I am with you on the sucess not fame angle too.

I do hats, bags and shoes :) I got a very nice purple jaunty number on Sunday - will show you after Xmas when I get it officially.

ohhhhhh the mothership in close encounters ?

I will go do my six wierd and wonderfuls for you !

Very interesting being tagged. When I was in high school there still were sororities. We were renegades and hated them. Were not female sheeple. We considered ourselves weird and proud of it. Our group of friends liked to confuse our peers with Monty Python type humour. Looking back I don't think they really had a clue as to what we were doing. But most important.. we had a lot of fun :)
Now being o o o *ahem*older is it as much fun? :)
Ah..sure it is..
...I'm going to have to look for that quote about putting the parsley under your armpits ... though... that's a good one... :)
