It Was An Honour Just Being Nominated .....

The 2006 Weblog awards finalists have been chosen, and we were not amongst the contenders this year. However, I really do mean it when I say it was an honour just to be nominated. And we were nominated not only once, but twice!

It is a great thrill for any writer to know that their work is appreciated. And we want to thank both Andy and Andrea once more for thinking enough of our blog that they took the time out to add us to the Weblog nominee listings.

We will continue to work on this blog, hopefully improving as time goes forward ... and who knows ... maybe next year??? ... ;)

I also want to congratulate one of this years finalists. In the BEST U.K blog category is The Spicy Cauldron. Not only is Andy a friend of ours, but he is a brilliant writer. When I say his blog is a daily read, I'm not kidding with you. I think I must visit at least twice a day and sometimes spend a good hour reading his well thought out articles, poems, and other commentary. Andy has made me laugh, frown, cry, ponder and most important of all he has engaged me as a reader perhaps more so than any other blog I have yet to come across.

Dustin: my site has seen an increase in traffic due to the awards, so maybe my server host was having problems. I'm most excited at the prospect of finding new readers, or rather new readers finding me, than anything else!

And yes, I'm sorry Sue and Matthew's site didn't make it through to the finalists, too. This site rapidly became a favourite repeat read of mine once I discovered it some time ago now. x
