Desperately Seeking Scarlett O'Hara
Does anyone recognize this photo or aircraft?
We are working closely with someone who feels that they have had a connection to this B17 aircraft in a past life. Any information that we can gain to help the person learn a little more about the aircraft would be most gratefully received.
Anything in terms of it's history, registration numbers, crew, logs, anything... If you can help, please click on a link on the menu to the right, find any email address and send it via e-mail.

Hey, folks, the aircraft pictured here is a Boeing B-17F from the 8th Airforce, USAAF, 379th bomber group, based at RAF Kimbolton, Cambridgeshire. The serial is not listed in my reference book,( "Vintage Aircraft Nose Art") by Gary M. Valant, but with a bit of searching it could be found in the USAAF/USAF serial numbers lists by Joe Baugher.

My father Thomas Wickham was on this plane, when it was shot down over Germany. He and 2 others were the only ones to live through that.
