Have you ever thought about investigating a haunting?

From what we've seen, and judging by the e-mail we've received, that answer seems to be a resounding "Yes!"

The trouble is, how do you go about doing it? Where do you start?

Sue Darroch and Matthew Didier want to assist in that quest.

July 22nd: There is a chance of isolated showers tonight... but only a 30% chance according to Environment Canada... so the seminar will be going ahead. Although there are places nearby that we can "duck in for some cover" (the seminar is near two bridges), it's vital that you dress for the weather and consider an umbrella as well... Again, we should still be able to accomplish the seminar and work if the rain remains light so the seminar is still on.

Sue and Matthew have over a decade in experience with ParaResearchers, The Toronto Ghosts and Hauntings Research Society, and PSICAN. They are co-authors of the Paranormal Studies and Investigations Canada/GHRS Coursebook and have been frequent guests (and occasional hosts of) CFRB's Mind/Shift radio program. They want to offer a series of "on-site seminars" at well known haunted locations in Toronto.

On these evening seminars, they will discuss the location's stories, reports, and then a brief discussion and tutorial on capturing photographic data at a haunted location, audio recording data, video recording data, "personal feelings/emotional" data collection, and even touch on what they've learned about psychic and intuitive data collection.

Like a combination of "ghost tour" combined with an investigation with two of the most highly regarded investigators/researchers in the province of Ontario!

From the beginner to the advanced investigator, these events will be a gathering of like-minded people with a strong interest in the study and investigation of ghosts and hauntings.

These events will be LIMITED to no more than twenty people. They will take place between 8:00pm and 10:00pm on weekend evenings. The total cost will be $15 per person... NO people under 18 are permitted to attend without parental or guardian supervision. No person(s) under the age of 13 will be allowed regardless.

THIS IS NOT A DARK RIDE - There will be no people leaping out of the bushes yelling "Boo!". There are no guarantees of success in seeing/experiencing anything paranormal. All the seminars (unless specified) are outdoors and subject to rain delays/cancellations. THESE WILL BE SERIOUS SEMINARS ON GHOST INVESTIGATION TECHNIQUES AT REPORTEDLY HAUNTED LOCATIONS. We ask that all who attend please keep this in mind and we reserve the right to eject (with no refund) those who disrupt or otherwise cause problems with other's enjoyment of these events. For more information, please see the page on the individual seminars or the page on disclaimers and caveats.
